SIMA as you are all aware has successfully traversed 31 years in binding together more than eight hundred families on a single identity of being SIM , across the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad and in various parts of Andhra Pradesh. The founding fathers truly had a great vision to earn recognition for this small community of South Indian Maharashtrians, who left their land of settlement which they have now embraced to be their own homeland such as A.P., Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Kerala.

Our activities gradually extended to provision of educational scholarships to poor/ meritorious students, physical / financial assistance at the time of hospitalization / death in family of members, provision of information on brides and bridegrooms, organizing free medical camps in rural areas of Andhra Pradesh and distribution of free medicines to rural poor. SIMA has been secular in its approach, cosmopolitan and liberal in its policies and outlook.

In continuation of that vision, various members of SIMA have strived hard with similar spirit and would like to make the dream come true of establishing a SIMA Bhavan, i.e. to own office-cum-community space to cater to the needs of community.

We would appreciate generous donations from all our brethren living across the global to contribute towards SIMA Bhavan. Not only can this earn us recognition in the community but will also be a great opportunity to fulfill a social mandate or earn goodwill or to return something meaningful to the community. We are happy to place on record that due to our members sincere efforts and our past record of service to the community, we have been granted the exemption of Income Tax under provision 80G. Hence, all your donations are eligible for exemption under the said provision.

We appeal to you all to spread the word about the SIMA and use the forum of www.sima-india.org to post information related to our community for forwarding your contributions and also for any queries and suggestions you may have for SIMA.
